 David Newlyn is an electronic musician from Durham (UK) whose tracks range from melodic electronica to electro-acoustic and ambient – deep evolving soundscapes, subtly treated guitars, elastic electronic tones and delicately glitchy beats.
He is also one half of October Man and runs CDR label October Man Recordings. Following several October Man releases including appearances on Boltfish Recordings’ ‘Mercury Scales’, ‘Patchwork’ and ‘Tandem Series 1’, Dave has begun recording solo and has already released his debut album ‘Wait Here With Me’ on netlabel Drift Records, as well as the ‘Didn’t Know Where I Was’ EP on his own label.
He releases his first full-length album for Boltfish in January 2007, entitled ‘Ancient Lights’.
