Polestar

Polestar is the alter ego of Jon Elliott from Bristol UK.

Jon grew up listening to Kraftwerk, Electro, Wendy Carlos, Cabaret Voltaire and the BBC radiophonic workshop (not in that order) In the early 90’s a friend introduced him to the sound of Warp Records and from then on he was been obsessed with complicated beats and beautiful sounds.

Jon’s music can best be described as melodic electronic music; fusing together complex beat patterns with warm and atmospheric synthesizer tones.

In the quest to find new and exciting sounds, Jon sometimes carries a mini disc recorder and microphone with him. He says you never know when you might need it.
